In 2002 a group of manufacturing companies came together to share best practice manufacturing approaches that they used for the benefit of other members of the group.
The West Norfolk Manufacturing Excellence Club (WNMEC) is a confidential, non-commercial self-help group dedicated to manufacturing businesses based in West Norfolk and the surrounding area.
Professionals from local businesses are able to share information in an informal and safe environment about issues of mutual interest and good practice relating to their daily work. It is supported by the Borough Council of King’s Lynn & West Norfolk and professional advisers from WLP. All have a desire to strengthen and support the local manufacturing sector.
Membership is free. The group holds regular face-to-face networking activities and members can also contribute to a LinkedIn forum. All companies that develop and / or manufacture products in the King’s Lynn and adjacent areas are invited to join. Companies that apply to join accept that no one in their company is to directly or overtly market or sell their products or services to other companies through the group.
