CE Marking

CE Marking demonstrates a product meets EU safety, health or environmental requirements and is an increasingly familiar sight as it applies to a wide range of products, from toys to household refrigerators and freezers, to pyrotechnics and machinery.

You may require this because of a need for compliance with an EU directive. It is not always clear what is required, however we can help you to clarify whether or not you are required to obtain CE Marking for your product(s). In particular, we have considerable experience in helping businesses achieve certification to the standard for Structural Steelwork – BS EN 1090.

Acquiring the certification from an Accredited Certification Body should be relatively easy once you have put things in place. As with most standards, the smoothest projects occur when the senior management is fully committed, as the standard requires them to be involved. It is also advisable that you have or acquire expertise to help.

Often this can be combined with compliance with other standards by making it part of a company system. This reduces the costs of surveillance.
