The Path to improve your quality of work/life balance

At the end of a day in the office do you experience stress and strain or are you unable to wind down?

Sitting at your desk all day in air conditioned or poorly ventilated offices can take a toll, both mentally and physically.  Why not do the most unlikely thing you would want to do and get that feel good factor.

Take A Walk.  It could seriously improve your quality of work/life balance.

Walking has been shown to improve self esteem, relieve symptoms of depression and anxiety, and improve mood.  Walking, particularly in pleasant surroundings, and with other people, offers many opportunities for relaxation and social contact, see www.ramblers.org.uk.

It is something you can do on your own, with a friend, partner or even a group of friends or work colleagues.  It costs very little (a good pair of well fitting shoes are advisable), and is it environmentally friendly.  It allows you to spend quality time with your family, friends or work colleagues.  You can use the time to discuss many different topics, or just walk in silence and appreciate what a beautiful place we live in.  Always follow the advice from your doctor before embarking on any form of exercise for the first time.

So next time you need to relieve the stress and strain why not experience the Feel Good Factor put your walking shoes on and go for a walk.
