Opportunity Peterborough, the company responsible for delivering economic growth to the city of Peterborough, set out to improve the attractiveness and quality of the leisure offer in the recently refurbished Cathedral Square area.
The project brief was to help them attract new retail investors, with the specific objective of creating a quality casual dining experience, with restaurant and bar operators enhancing the overall attractiveness of the city centre.
What we have done:
Assisted the Opportunity Peterborough team with their proposition and the supporting marketing materials.
We worked with the team to identify and agree a list of potential target investors, as well as influencers and opinion formers.
We took a combined approach of attending seminars, seeking out key industry media contacts, meeting retail developers and senior restaurant owners and executives.
Results:
Visits to Peterborough and investment by two new high quality food chains signed up to open in Cathedral Square – the global peri peri chicken restaurant chain, Nando’s and the upmarket, indulgent Patisserie Valerie.
Ongoing dialogue with at least two other serious restaurant investors wanting to open in the city.
