The client received a group environmental policy manual from head office with instructions to develop a local policy manual and management system.
We developed a system based on ISO 14001: as this specified the requirements for effective management and continuous improvement.
We investigated and policies and processes to manage the various aspects were put in place. The risk of an environmental incident was assessed. The survey of local residents identified their perception of the impact the client’s activities had on the environment. This produced a starting point from which the Company could measure its environmental performance.
The client is now able to monitor its performance and set improving objectives year on year.
