A travel company were plagued with high staff turnover and low pay, which lead to a high level of disruption as the company recruited, trained and then lost experienced staff.
A review of the employment trends in the area and also within the travel industry, led to a change of attitude. A staff exit process was implemented which helped to identify specific reasons for staff leaving.
The result has been a reduction in staff turnover, and huge savings, much of which were never measured. Having got good staff the company has worked hard on retaining them through forward thinking and flexible working packages.
