A privately owned, family-run chilled food brokerage business required a review of their existing sales, as well as their operational & admin functions (using SWOT), to produce a plan for the future including recommendations.
The review highlighted 2 principal weaknesses: Sales effectiveness in an increasingly competitive market and the quality of their supply base.
Recommendations suggested a full marketing plan for the future, staff sales training and the appointment of a new Head of Sales (to eventually take over the business) together with a supplier management. Since the project, a new sales person has been appointed.
